Tax Season Wishlist (If I HAD a Tax Return, It'd Be Gone In a Flash)
It's tax season, and what that means for a freelance artist like myself is that while all my "real job" having friends are happily receiving fat stacks from Uncle Sam, I'm shelling out a hunk of cash that makes me weep to part with and falling several rungs down on the Big Girl ladder. And for some reason, I decided to rub salt in the wound and fantasize about all the lovely things I could be purchasing if I hadn't just payed for a new set of office golf clubs at IRS headquarters (that's where our taxes go, right?).
I think, depending on the size of this fictional tax return of mine, I'd probably spend it first on studio time. There's really nothing better than new music! But after that...
1 // I feel like owning my own "fancy plates" will be one of those moments when I think to myself, "NOW, I'm a grown-up."
2 // Because my little East Nashville cottage is severely lacking in cabinet space, I've been thinking about using one of these industrial-looking bookshelves to store and display some of my kitchen stuff. Thus, the pretty plates.
3 // I've been pining after a "Big Girl Bag," as I call them. I like the style of the Burberry one, but man, that bright blue Coach City Tote is just callin' to me.
4 // I've been in love with this Michael Kors watch for a year. One day, you shall be mine, lovely.
5 // Why is it so difficult to find flats that are cute, comfortable, and quality?? I've yet to encounter a pair that have accomplished all three. Well, unless they're absurdly expensive. This is probably the only thing on the list that I truly need, as I honestly have never owned a pair of flats that agree with me.
6 // I have an obsession for terrariums, particularly this one. It would live on my desk and we would love one another as I work.
7 // A new tattoo... because... just because.
What are YOU spending your return on? Lucky duck.
